La Voz de Indiana celebró Día de las Madres
Cientos de madres fueron homenajeadas y premiadas
Indianapolis, IN.- El sábado 10 de mayo, La Voz de Indiana, con el patrocinio de decenas de empresas, celebró el Día de las Madres, entregando regalos y premios, en medio de un ambiente festivo, animado por música y juegos para niños. Además, se sirvieron comidas típicas y postres a todos los asistentes en forma gratuita. Se contó también con payasos, mariachis, maquilladoras y paramédicos, quienes divirtieron y ofrecieron sus servicios a todos los asistentes.
Al igual que en años anteriores, La Voz de Indiana organizó el evento como parte de su actividad social en beneficio de la comunidad hispana, teniendo en cuenta el trabajo sacrificado de cada madre que vive en esta ciudad, luchando por sacar adelante a sus hijos, a pesar de la adversidad que supone venir a este país y adaptarse al sistema.
Este año participaron más de 1730 mil personas incluyendo las madres, de las cuales cerca de quinientas se llevaron algún tipo de premio, como televisores y un juego completo de dormitorio, en los sorteos que se realizaban cada 30 minutos.
Este evento contó con el auspicio de ochenta empresas y organizaciones, entre los que destacaron: National City, AT&T, Allstate Freddy Argotte, El Pollo Tapatío, Indiana Latino Institute, El Paso, ISHCC, La Amiga, Arcos, Fifth Third Bank, Centro Médico Alivio, TGR, Salazar, El Milagro, Tu mueblería furniture store, IndyGo y Radio Latina 107.1.y la Que Buena y muchos más.
Debido a la magnitud del evento y al crecimiento cada vez más de los participantes, se espera que el próximo año se celebre en un parque grande, para lo cual ya se cuenta con el compromiso de muchas empresas que están interesadas en apoyar este tipo de actividad.
La Voz de Indiana agradece a todos los negocios y personas que colaboraron en este evento del 2008, y que gracias a ellos se tuvo el éxito que tanto esperábamos todos. Esperamos contar con ustedes el próximo año.

La Voz de Indiana Celebrated Mother’s Day
Hundred of mothers were honored and given prizes

Indianapolis, IN. - On Saturday May 10, La Voz de Indiana, with the sponsorship of dozens of companies, celebrated Mother’s Day, gave presents and prizes in a festive atmosphere entertained by music and games for the children. Also, typical foods and desserts were served free of charge to the attendees. We also had clowns, mariachis, make-up artists, and paramedics who entertained and offered their services to all the attendees.
As in previous years, La Voz de Indiana organized the event as part of its social activity on behalf of the Hispanic community taking into account the sacrificed work of every mother who lives in this city, struggling to help her children get ahead, in spite of the adversity that coming to this country and adapting to the system implies.
This year, more than 1,730 people, including the mothers, participated. Nearly five hundred of them received some kind of prize such as TV sets and a full bedroom suite, in raffles that were carried out every 30 minutes.
This event had the sponsorship of eighty companies and organizations, among which the following stood out: National City, AT&T, Allstate Freddy Argotte, El Pollo Tapatio, Indiana Latino Institute, El Paso, ISHCC, La Amiga The Girl Friend, Arcos Arches, Fifth Third Bank, Alivio Medical Center, TGR, Salazar, El Milagro The Miracle, Tu Mueblería furniture store, IndyGo, and Radio Latina 107.1. y La Que Buena, and many more.
Due to the magnitude of the event and to the steady growth of the number of participants, it is expected that, next year, the event be held in a large park, for that purpose, we already have the commitment of many companies that are interested in supporting this type of activity.
